Identifies as a habitual line-stepper. He loves getting lost in his work and is sometimes found deep in a spreadsheet or complicated design. He made his way to solar while studying physics and math in college and realizing that technology was an important part of creating a better future. When he came back to Asheville, he worked with another solar company for a few years and then realized he thought he could do it better so set out to start Sugar Hollow Solar. Phelps’ daily joy is his one wheel and he recommends it as the best electric vehicle out there.
