Douglas Ager

He's been a hard worker his whole life - in high school he started a firewood business where he split everything by hand! He grew up at Hickory Nut Gap Farm and graduated from Warren Wilson College and then Western Carolina University with a masters in English Literature. After spending years working with his hands as a farrier and carpenter, he joined his cousin Phelps to kickoff Sugar Hollow Solar. He became interested in business and the idea that it could be a force for good while watching his brother and brother’s wife build Hickory Nut Gap Meats. Nowadays, he still loves doing all the country boy things like fishing, hunting, and gardening, as well as being a Dad to his toddler.
